Costas warranty program is second to none IMO... less than 2 weeks from the time I shipped them to the time they arrived back. I have the Permit frames, they had an issue with the rubber grommet around the frames failing... what does Costa do? Redesigns the frame, made it lighter, did away with the grommet all together, and sent me a brand new pair of the redesigned Permits. That's how customer service is supposed to work!

I also stopped by that booth at the Classic Expo. I had a pair of Corbina's with the rubber peeling off the frames and a small crack in the glass lens (my bad - again). I had my back-up pair of discontinued Tropic Star's on. I asked Mike about what to do with the Corbina's and he asked what I wanted. I explained I just wanted them to be fixed and realizing I would be on the hook for the lens that broke. Next thing I know, he hands me a brand new pair of Corbina's with the green mirror glass lenses and trades me out on my old beaters! He also gave me a card to send in with the broken ones back at the house. He CALLED me last Friday to say he had gotten them and was dropping another pair in the mail that same day. Unmatched customer service!! Checking the tracking number and they should be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Not even 1 week after sending them off, I should have a brand new pair, and as far as I can tell, free of charge! Costa forever for me!

It really looks like they're working on their warranty coverage. They asked me to post something about it on social media, so I posted it here. It is nice to experience customer service where the customer matters!

I have the Blackfin model and the rubber comes unglued from the frame especially around the nose piece. They replaced the whole frame( wow!) last time but maybe with what you have said they have decided that rubber piece isn't the correct way to do things! I think the mixture of heat, sweat, and sunscreen eats away at the glue or what not. Maybe they could ultrasonically "weld" them to the frame? I have been using superglue which also comes unglued after a while so guess I'll send them in and see what happens! But for $12 and the great customer service I have received thru them I don't consider it a lot of trouble.

After tons of research I went with Maui Jims because of the poor customer service i had read on Costas. This is good to hear that they appear to be changing for the better. I would not hesitate to try them out now.

Had a very similar experience with Rasheem. I showed him where my lenses were cracked, that it was probably my fault, and I'd be happy to pay to get them fixed. He told me it was their fault and he would take care of them for me. My lenses were blue and he told me I wanted green lenses for bass fishing. I explained to him that my blues were for everyday and my green were for fishing. He apologized for not having blue 580g with him, offered a different color, then wrote down where to send my pair to get fixed and that they would cover shipping. I've had several pairs fixed by them with no complaints but this was far above and beyond. I'll be a customer for life.

I'm glad to hear all these post I put my Corbinas in the mail today to have the rubber replaced. I authorized payment if necessary but it doesn't sound like it will cost anything other than shipping according to the post.
