Just thought of something,does anyone refer to old maps of the lake when the water was low to find fishing spots?

You mean like looking at google earth?

Yup or google maps, but I found one that's outdated so it shows back when water was low and shows your current gps location on that map. Was thinking about sharing where I found it,but no interest I guess. You can drive up and it shows your current location. I need to go mark waypoints and save. Pretty good info for my type of fishing.

So this site is something like google earth and while you scroll around on it, it shows the wypts? Or is this something that goes into the graph? I'm interested, not just for Medina; but Choke more so.

Ha! All mappings show choke low click and search the map on weather underground. It has an old version on google map on there. Pretty good find I thought. You can see where the living things were and gps will show you where you are on that map so you can set the locations on your graph.

Cold front this weekend

Never thought to use weather underground. Here's something I find odd, if you/I visit google earth on a PC you can go back in time, many years. For some reason it will not let me on my iPhone. Maybe the weather underground will let me, I'll try it.




And for Choke, I want to go back to when they were building the lake. Just not sure it will go back that far.

Wow,now that sounds cool. No,nothing like that. Just access to a 3-4yr old medina lake map

You need to download Google Earth then use the timeline tool, you can go back 20+ years. You can click on the map to grab waypoints then export them to your graph. It's pretty easy.

I can't understand why it works on computers, but not phones. Anybody have a clue?

I was about 99% sure there would be more with falcon this weekend and the Friday nighters not started yet lol glad to hear it



The app does not have the timeline feature, you have to do it on a desktop with the full version.
