I know there’s are a lot out there, but I want to keep it simple as I am redoing / restocking my jig box. What sizes / manufacture are the best in your opinion on the following.

Finesse
Flipping / skipping
Football
Swim jig

I love Santone. And they have a great selection in all the above.

Finesse..1/4
Flipping....3/8 or 1/2
Football...3/4
Swim....Don't fish those a lot.

Clear Fork Custom Jigs makes a dang good jig.

He's a good friend and a great guy. He has done a lot for the local DFW kayak fishing community including starting up the Trinity Bass Battle series and coordinating charity tournaments.

Jewel Eakins Jig

I like the Eakins in the 5/16oz size for a finesse jig. I like like the head design of this bait as it rolls over cover very well. It comes with a god hook, plus this bait has been around for a long time. It comes in a 2 pack too, for only $4.99.

Revenge Flipping Jig

For a flipping jig I like the Revenge Flipping Jig. This bait has a flat bottom on the head which is great for skipping underneath cover, it comes with a stout hook, incredible paint job, and this bait is 100% made in the USA. I like the 1/2oz size best.

Dandy Football Jig

I like the Dandy football jig in the 1/2oz for most situations. If you're fishing in real deep water or it's windy, bump up to the 3/4oz size. This jig is just a good, quality jig with good components. It's inexpensive and they have quite a few colors to choose from.

Santone Chris McCall Rayburn Swim Jig

I like this swim jig in the 7/16oz size. This bait balances well with any swimbait trailer you put on the back, it has a good hook, good skirt colors, and it's made in Texas!

I keep my jig fishing pretty simple. Don't use a finesse or football jig.
Santone Rattle jig for flipping - 3/8 ounce and 1/2 ounce in Black/Brown/Amber or Black/Blue with Z Hog Black Neon trailer.
Santone Rayburn Swim jig 5/16 ounce and 7/16 ounce in some sort of white colored skirt with double tail grub trailer.

This will shock you I'm sure... I'm a Talon guy, have been for years. LOL. The first Talon jig I used was from a give a way they did on the forum, the first XX number of people to post the right answer received a jig pack. I tied it on the first trip out after it arrived in the mail, 3rd flip I caught a 7 lb toad and haven't looked back since!

Talon Fishing Unlimited has every style of jig listed by the OP in their lineup, hand tied skirts, rattle collar, Mustad Hooks, and colors are only limited by your imagination.. if its not on the site they will make it for you. Here are my favs....

1) Flipping Jig - Talon Billy Mac Jig - I like 1/4 and 1/2oz for most presentations, occasionally I will use a 3/4oz. This jig swims pretty good also.

2) Finesse - Talon Hardball Custom Finesse - Tough as nails, skips very well. I like the 5/16oz

3) Swim Jig - Talon Yuugyo Swim Jig or DP Bling Yuugyo - 3/8 and 1/2 have a BEAST of a 5/0 hook, 3/4oz has a 6/0 hook. Swims great, comes though cover excellent, and you can be as mean to it as you want, its not going to hurt this jig. 65 lb braid horsing fish out of the thick stuff are what its made for. When you want to show the fish something different try the DP Bling version, I've been having lots of success with it as of late.

4) Football Jig - Talon Custom Football Jig - Co designed by Ben Matsubu, this football jig has accounted for over $50k in winnings since Jan 2017 and has a running total well into the millions of dollars in overall tournament winnings. I like the 5/8oz, but if fishing much deeper than 15 ft the 3/4oz fishes better IMO.

I pour and then build my own. Flat eye football and then two types of regular jigs--quarter ounce to 1 ounce. I can hand tie the skirts in whatever colors I want and I cry less when I break one off that I only have about 50 cents invested in.

There are a lot of good brands out there these days. I look for one with a decent hook, large gap but not too big on the wire. Get a line tie that looks good to you.

You don't need a ton of jigs. Pick a couple sizes, maybe 1/2 and 3/8 or lighter for cold water, and two or three colors. Pumpkin, Blue / Black, whatever you like.

The main thing is put them in the cover and keep them there.
Great lures.

And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

I like Santone's entire line of jigs, they all seem to catch fish.

I like Santone, Nutech, but most brands will catch fish and has a following from different fishermen. The best jig brand is the one you have tied on at the time you have it in front of a fish. They will bite about anything. The reason most fishermen like a certain brand is because that is the brand they have caught the most fish with, because that is the brand they had tied on when the jig got in front of a fish. LOL I will agree their are certain brands that work better in timber or grass. but all in all its hard to beat Santone.

I like both of these jigs as well.

Siebert Outdoors makes an awesome jig that you pick the options - weight, head color, wire tie or band & multiple skirt colors. $3.70 for a wire tied. Quality is phenomenal.
