How can they close a public ramp for a private party? The same way the City of Lufkin can close down access to Kurth Lake. The City of Nacogdoches is the controlling authority for the lake.

How can they close a public ramp for a private party? In the name of tourism. They will get some coverage on the show and it will generate some visits to the lakes and area there. Closing it down one day for a show that will help the economy in that area ain't the end of the world.

That's awesome. One of the things I like about MLF is they seem to stay off the beaten path of well-known lakes.

Possibility of fishing small (which sells) and the fact that off-the-beaten path places make it much easier for them to keep things under wraps. Not only from the public, but the anglers.

On the smaller lakes it's easier for kvd to get his bent pole pattern rolling as the others are closer.

As much as I don't want to see more pressure on Monticello, I would LOVE to see these guys get a chance to fish it MLF style. The "ride around" would be somewhat comical to watch if they were fishing the North end given the fact their idle speeds tend to be more like 10-15 MPH which would take at least 1 lower unit on those concrete stumps. But seriously, would love to see that but if they are that far south, I don't see them coming North that far and there's also not a city around that could pay them enough to come fish that area.
