One last trip to the Sabine!! this year for me.
All though weather's not the best but I try to go when I can. Super fun if you haven't tried it on the Sabine.
Bring your fly rods. Fish are just feets from the banks.
Anyone wanting to cover gas(2 tanks) I got a spot open for you or for you and your son. Must be able to stay and fish Saturday and Sunday. I ain't driving 3.5 hrs to fish only one day. Please bring your own tent because I snore!! I can pick y'all up any where along hwy 59 coming from Houston .Thanks!!

Where are you putting in/camping?
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Launching and camping at River Ridge. Maybe do an all nighter with 1500 watts of lights. Sleep on the dunes like cast away, thats if the coyote don't eat us first or Sasquatch chasing us off them dunes.

It's gonna be major crowded Saturday...there is a sand bass tournament out of logansport. It don't bother me. I've learn a long time ago to just enjoy the day regardless of what ever gets thrown at me. Might be interesting watching a sand bass tourney in a river. If it ain't a catching day then it's an exploring day for me. I'll run the river till boat run out of gas and see how far 6 gallon would take me. Btw if I can get them to bite at night than I wouldn't have to fish during the day

Spot still open!!
Fly fishing, night fishing, day fishing and exploring. Sounds like a great combo fun trip!! If no one filling up the spot me and my son will leave tomorrow night. By the time I'm finished with this adventure we'll be crawling back to Houston instead of driving back. Super duper adventures guys!!

WOW nobody wants to go fishing with the ALMIGHTY fish slayer ? They can't handle the the extreme Why don't you ask TFF CBaggie and find out what a road trip is like with Bruce and son. Then come back here and comment on this thread. Untill then you have no idea. Try going to Arkansas 8 times in three month right after work Friday and drive back Sunday and go straight to work. Maybe then I listen to your comments. But for now goes from one ear out the other.

That's not extreme at all. 4 months straight during the summer in my early days, I drove to Galveston on Friday morning & came back Sunday night & went to work. At 60 years old I now have my priorities in better perspective & would rather avoid all the wannabe alfa male syndromes floating around who think they know & do it all. Just to much garbage to wade thru just to catch a few fish .

It's not about the fish Mike. It's about when someone hands you down some knowledge on what works to catch those Sabine fish you go right back and you take that knowledge and you soaked it in so that when you return next year there's no more please tips help me Sabine etc etc.. and I was going to share all that knowledge plus more to whomever that wants to go with me this trip so that they too can soak it in. Anyway they'll be going with a person that is licensed and insured no different then a guide. Can't see where you can find that for two tanks of gas ($80) two persons and you don't even have to drive. Took a father and two sons last week and that's exactly what they got on two tanks of gas. A whole lot of knowledge soaking. Not about the fish Mike. Fish is just to get you guys fired up get your butt off that key board and go fishing. For all I know this cold front might of shut down the the bites and I'd be lucky if I came home with enough fish for dinner. Also let me tell you a thing about Sabine fish I've learn from my last trip. They can be so easy to catch but without help from the people that's been there done it would be equally very hard to catch under certain conditions.

Classic signs of low Testosterone. That's not what the wife says. If you go fishing all the time you wouldn't know. I'm just not mad enough at those little fish to brave the two days of rain forecast. And it will rain. I'd rather deal with a wet wife any day...........more fun. .

The chance of rain his wknd is for .12 in on saturday and .06 Sunday. If yall are afraid to fish because of that then yoo probably don't go fishing very much. Did I miss something or did Hookinup hijack this thread?
