I have several TFO Pro IIs and have never broken one. My 7 wt. is my go-to rod on the coast, and my 2 wt. gets used more than any other rod I own. I also have a 10 wt. that sees a good bit of use. I have broken several fly rods the past few years, but none of them were TFOs. Almost all of my rods are TFOs or Orvis. But none of my TFOs are BVKs.

Thanks. All of the breakage I have read about has been with BVKs. I know that people online are more apt to share negative experiences than positive experiences, but there is just too much out there about them breaking to have me pull the trigger on one even though the one time I handled one I liked the feel of it. I am looking to replace my 6 weight and thinking the Clouser may be the way to go. Never fished a 6 weight Clouser, but I have cast a 7 weight Clouser at Tailwaters and liked how it cast.

I agree with what Jim Ford said about the TFO rods. I use their 2, 3 and 4 wts primarily. Thousands of fish caught with no breaks. I did break one while not fishing and took it to the warehouse in Dallas and got it replaced free. I heard they charge $15 if you get a rod replaced now. Still, if you think about the turn around time postage, etc. when you send a rod in for repair, this works best for me. I've taken some big fish with their spinning rods as well. No problems.
