Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I bought this worm by the pound back in the 90's out of Tri Lakes Tackle's bulk worm troughs (anyone here old enough to remember bulk worms in troughs?). It was just the start of the ringworm craze. I bought roughly a gallon ziplock bag full of this worm and now these are the last four. I had above average luck on this worm for more than 20 years. Nobody I showed it to had ever seen one. It is a 7" ringworm with head and long tail (see bottom picture), color like a light motor oil (anyone remember motor oil color?) Unique to this worm is a very faint creamy silver laminated side. The motor oil side contains black, gold and green glitter. What the heck is this thing? Does anyone still sell this worm? If not does anyone know which manufacturer produced it? Does anyone have this worm mold? I will be happy to mail one to anyone who can pour a run of these. Thanks again! By the way...Since the mid 80's I have been preserving and rehabilitating my soft plastics with a Bovie cautery pen, a cigarette lighter and a hot nail. I have over 60 pounds of soft plastics set back, most new and unused, styles and colors no longer used, so old that they are new to the bass. I have watched worm crazes come and worm crazes go, since worms were sold pre-rigged with two exposed hooks, red beads and a spinner blade or two back in the 60's. This worm out-fished all other soft plastics I ever threw, by a margin of at least two to one. I have repaired and melted these back together for the last few years, but when they are gone it will be a sad day. I appreciate any assistance you might be able to give an old man. Take a look at the Bonehead tackle ringworm It looks almost identical--dare I say, it's the same mold Barlow's in Richardson sells them

looks similar to the grande bass mega tail worm, except the head is different and the rings are the same diameter throughout the body

Went through all my plastics this morning. I knew I had some. I believe the ones in your linked pics are the Luck E Strike Original Ringer Here's a pic from last year's Luck E Strike catalog The Bonehead tackle worms are very, very, very close.

Interesting article on the Guido Hibdon ringworm (I think yours are probably the original Guido ring worms he designed for Luck E Strike) Guido Hibdon ringworm

They actually sold Ring Rascals, but I can't find them in production any longer. I have used the ones from Barlow's in the past and they work just as well as the Ring Rascals used to. BASSHAWK
