I wanted that exact boat but could never find one with a title to use on Texas lakes. Most of the ones I found were in East Texas or Louisiana. I gave up and bought a Pelican Bass Raider on sale from Academy.

My son lives in Shreveport Louisiana. There is always one or two for sale in Craigslist there. Usually it's the water moccasin brand.

Nice, brings back good memories, had one in early 80's they had two mods, mine was small, 8.5ft found guys back yard at ray hubbard.Took it to marshall got new trolling motor installed. It moved pretty quick.Caught lot of bass&crappie out of it.Even used it a lot duck hunting.Iguess you may have two things I should still have, according to you're screen name,a real red 69z/28.Dang it.

The Water Mocassin is featured in a little fishing book written by a TFF regular that was published about a year ago.

And, it is still being made and sold.

Just a guess that there was never a large market for them except in certain areas, that as soon as the plastic kayaks came out and grabbed attention that it pulled more attention away from pirogues.

Almost all of the current kayaks are hybrids of one sort, some motorized, too.

Here is a link to the Water Mocassin:

Brad r. I don't have any names of previous owners. The guy I bought it from never knew any names. He just traded for it a few years ago. No tx numbers or no vin numbers.

Lazy Ike I do have the 69 z. Has the dz 302 engine. I bought it in 1996. Finished restoration in 2002. Only thing not original is I left off putting a vinyl top back on.

When I was in school that 302 was a Saturday night Hell raiser from stoplight to stoplight.

I'm much too easy on the z. If I would have owned this car in 1969 I would have pushed it to the limit. I would push it past that 6500 redline daily
