I own 18 Ducketts and have not had a single break on any of them. They are very good rods as far as sensitivity goes. I love the micro guides as well, but have had to have around 10-15 of them replaced throughout the course of 5 years. Some from my fault but the majority just ceramics falling out. If they had a different kind of guide on them I would have no complaints. But will also agree there are many others as good or better at that price point. Good luck If they had better guides they would be more expensive. Of course if they had better guides then you would eventually end up with a broken rod with great guides! I bought one years ago, first time I set the hook on a 3# fish under a dock it broke in the middle of the blank. I don't necessarily blame the blank though, I think it is craftsmanship. There are certain things you can do (wrong) to a rod while building a rod that will cause it to snap. I think most cases in all rods that break in the middle were caused by blank damage during the build.

I do like using them but they just don't hold up, my 2 cents anyway.

Rod is great. Eyes need some work.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

Junk. Break, guides fall off or inserts break out.
I can backlash toilet paper.

I've seen multiple youtubers break dockets setting the hook on dinks. They all went to favorite rods. I'm that academy clearance kinda guy though...

I haven't had any problems with the two in my collection. That being said, they are better rods in the price range of the Ducketts.

I've only had 2 rod brands break on me in a lot of years of bass fishing. A 13 Fishing Omen Black broke on a hook set. They replaced it no questions asked & I still use it today. Then I had a Duckett break on a hook set close to the handle. It was also replaced promptly. Unfortunately, the next trip was to a private lake in S. TX & it broke again in almost the same place. But worse than that, it was close to the boat on one last run & it was going to easily be my PB. My host said it was a teener for sure. Unfortunately for Duckett, reading above tells me my situation was not unique.

I use two rods when I fish for Bass. I like my Duckett for plastic; worm, lizard, craws because of the rod tip being sensitive, with good backbone and lite enough to go from dusk to dawn. When it comes to hard baits: crank, spinner, or spoons etc. I like my T.F.O. It is also lite and has lip ripping backbone.
