If you were buying a used boat in the 20 grand range which manufacturer would you pick?

You know your're going to get the apple, orange, apple reply on this topic, just look at previous post. Not trying to be mean or anything. My best advice is find what YOU like and can afford and go with it. Don't rely so much on other people's wants and needs. I wish you the best in your search.

Hard to say, it is all personal preference, all i can say is be very patient. I was in the same boat (no pun intended) and came across a steal on the forum. Got into a 04 21ft Ranger loaded with everything, for 16k. I did have to put about a grand into the motor for some swivel bushings and mounts, but the hull is a life long hull.

That being said the fit and finish on my Ranger is unmatched, fishes and rides like a Cadillac, very happy with my purchase.

Im a Skeeter guy, but for $20k, Id say get the best boat for your money.

Ranger all the way, may not be as fast as a Skeeter but the fit and finish is not matched by any other company out there. You wont be disappointed with a Skeeter or a Ranger.

For that price range, I'd bet you could get a decent Skeeter...

Boat would not matter to me, The motor would.

I would go with a ranger.

I would pick the one with the lowest hours and the best condition.

I can tell you which one I WOULD NOT buy and you named one of em in your 3. Ranger would have good fit and finish and Skeeter is a great boat, don't sleep on BassCat or legend either, but for $2ok, not many Legends around.
