How much water will it catch after the huge floods California is about to get? Is this a Lake Grapevine flood situation here?

The Grapevine reference is that it was really, really low, then it flooded in a week.

Mead is like wine, but it is made from bee poop. I don't see what that has to do with lake grapevine.

None. Nearly all of the water in Lake Mead comes from Utah and Colorado.

Mead only loses water to Cali.

Snow melts from the Western Rockies dictate what it gets but more so how much is let go into Mojave onto Havasu to be pumped into aquaducts to water so. Cal and states that share rights to Colorado River water. Seven of them in all and Mexico.

Then that is a stupid place to put a lake. I thought it might catch some of the flood that is about to happen in CA. Oh well, curry on.

It's so stupid how water runs downhill.

So massive rain/snow event in Cal will not extend to Utah. Dan, thanks for making this totally unclear.

Rivers should only flow south and east. Not West and north.

The Nile is the exception to this rule.

So those big deserts, the Mojave and great basin in Nevada and so cal are called rain shadow deserts.

The Sierra Nevada mountains weaken Pacific storms and ring em dry.

Snow in Utah is usually from fronts sweeping south from the north from Canada. That's why Utah has all the super powder.

That's what the Mayans used to say about Lake Grapevine.
