Organizations like the ASPCA and PETA is all propaganda and scare tactics to get $$$ from yuppies and misinformed sheeple.

The ASPCA spends .35 cents of every donated dollar .35 cents mad for operational expenses that pertaining to "saving animals". Of the .35 cents they use, .20 cents of every dollar goes to advertising and fundraising.. So .15 cents of every dollar goes to actually "helping" animals; of that .15 cents the ASPCA only gave .04 cents to local SPCA shelter to actually do something (In 2013, $4.9 mil of its 129 mil budget and CEO Edwin Sayres was getting nearly $600,000 in compensation annually when he left in 2013). Did I mention the other .65 cents of every donated dollar goes to special interest groups and lobbyist. Oh and did I mention that the ASPCA euthanized ~35,000 animals in 2013, how did they pay for it?? well there is that nice .11 cents left in the "actually helping animals" cookie jar...

What a CROCK!

You are doing more to protect animals by participating in fishing period, than any save the animals hippie ever could. And by practicing catch and release you are doing more than your part. Below is the proof VVV

TPWD publication states 14% morality rate of caught and released bass. VVV

They are stocked with our tax and fishing license dollars so that sportsman can catch them. As long as your following the laws for that body of water then catch away! That's what they are put there for. If you want to really help the bass population there then keep your legal limit, if it's not a catch and release lake, on occasion. It helps reduce competition for food a bit and the fish grow faster.
