I like to watch it to know where not to fish on a lake. Don't matter cuz boats will be all over it after his show. I think they went to pay to watch, so maybe it not as bad as before.

"We"?

This is a public forum, Mark. Every time someone comes on here and says anything thats not uplifting and Praising Honeyhole you've got retort and try to tear down their personal opinion. I understand that it's one of your business ventures and I hope you do well with it but cmon....

I have to admit, I saw the post and thought that was a childish response by someone promoting the show. I watch it mainly because of the local lakes but I have to say I sometimes find it boring but other times I really enjoy it. I guess it depends on whether it is a lake that I am interested in. Although, when I see comments like that from someone involved in the show, it makes me lean towards not watching.

You do realize that Mark and Jack know one another right?

I guess I am just Old School. I won't pay to watch people fish on TV or the net. Or to find spots on the lake. I will go find them on my own and put in a little time to do so. Not knocking HH, but the sport in it for me is putting it together.

I hate watch the show because it shows me how much I suck at fishing.. I like watching the show and sometimes you get to see Bill's ugly mug on the lake. He will talk shop with you.

Just glad you got Bill off the local trails and on the camera! That old fart can take your money in the toughest of conditions!! I enjoy watching the shows on local lakes! Always makes me wish I was fishing!

Honey Hole TV and the magazine was the dream child of Jerry and Debra Dean ( they had no natural children)and a lot of hard work went into it. I had the pleasure of joining Jerry on one of the shows and saw the dedication they had to making the show and magazine the very best it could be. Both the show and magazine brought a lot of bass fishermen together and brought a lot more into the sport. Bill was a regular guest on the show and in my opinion a natural to keep the show moving after Jerry passed. Bill is knowledgeable and personable and continues to cater to the same format as Jerry did.
I enjoy watching the shows especially the ones on lakes I fish. Bill tells you right up front where he's at and who his guest is if there is one, so if it's no interest to you don't watch it. Unlike many fishing shows they are fairly current and do provide some helpful information to beginners. I wouldn't think a lot of pro's would watch but there are a lot of beginner anglers around Texas who enjoy and watch the show and there are some like myself who have been fishing for decades who still enjoy watching. To each his own I guess.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

It's not about being old school. It's important to context who the primary Honey Hole viewer is. It's not a tournament angler or in most cases an angler who spends a lot of time on the water. It's anglers who are looking for some simple pointers so they can enjoy their time on the water with their wives, dads, sons etc. The VOD viewer is looking for early access and wants to watch the show on their terms without having to fight through recording FOX or YouTube ads etc. It's a specific product built for a specific group. They're not potlickers looking to poach a spot, they're looking for a place to start and some tips regarding relevant patterns and techniques. Most of them don't have time to spend days/weeks on the water looking for fish. That's Bill's job.

Bill spends more time on the water than 99.9% of the anglers in Texas and he has a ton of knowledge to share. We will continue to find ways to improve the show and share that knowledge with those interested. That's the reason the show exists in the first place.

If paying for the VOD isn't for you, then wait for the shows to hit FOX and then YouTube and enjoy those as needed.

Mark

Best fishing show on TV to this East Texan.
