If any y'all are ever up this way, be sure to fish Coffee County (Wolf Creek) nuke power plant in east/central Kansas. Good largemouth and great smallmouth fishing year around.

Monti is not the same lake it was in the winter since they don't generate like they used too, Welsh seems to be much colder this year as well.

Squaw Creek is where it is at for cold winter fishing.

We were talking about Thomas last week on our way to Monti. He was a pretty cool dude.

I would usually beat him on the lake before he made it to his guard shack, and he would be waiting on the ramp to collect when people were done.

I used to sit and chat with him quite a bit, he was alright

LED light bulbs and LED televisions are killing our winter fishing?

Just kidding

I fish Martin Creek a lot (I live real close to it). Don't know why I don't fish Perky....guess all the stories of vandalism at the ramp. Guess Martin and Perky will be the only hot water lakes around here before long and the new owners of Luminant are looking at mothballing Martin in a few years.

The best I can tell no one has caught one in years and they were all but wiped out in fish kills.

Not so sure Fairfield has Reds anymore at all.

You'd think someone would have saved that chimney for their modified Dually.

I like Monticello best.

Caught my first over on the lake a couple of years ago on spinner bait.

Like many others Monticello has to be my fav even though I haven't fished it in years. I hope they finally did something with that crazy one boat at a time ramp. grin
