Frank Just depends on what yall like The wife likes these
Kiepersol Estates (great steaks and seafood) Bernards (good Italian) Jack Ryans ( in the old Petroleum Club downtown but I wasnt that impressed with steak) Its real nice but food was just ok Villa Montez (old Mansion on the Hill-great Mexican food) Lago Del Pino-(get there around sunset and sit outside by the lake...great place for Sunday brunch when my girls are in from college)
Hope one of these helps you out man
I've heard very good things about Jack Ryans and have wanted to try it the next time we are out there visiting family.

Frank, go to CT. Good ribs. They may be selling soon, so you want to get there quick before they go downhill. Bo Pilgrim owns that place, and there's nothing in his ribs but ribs.

Stanley's for the BEST BBQ EVER!!!!! I seriously drive to Tyler from Bossier about once a month just to eat there!! If you went there back in 2013, the cook is now the owner of Bodacious on Mobberly Avenue in Longview. He married the daughter of long time owner of Bodacious. You should stop in a try his place now....he still talks about Stanleys. He invented a couple things they still serve there. "Jordan Jackson worked with Nick Pencis and Jonathan Shaw at Stanleys Famous Pit Bar-B-Q, in Tyler (a 2013 top fifty joint)" - Texas Monthly Magazine http://www.texasmonthly.com/food/the-top-25-new-and-improved-bbq-joints-in-texas/ - Scroll down to Bodacious. They are not all the same, as the owner has Franchised them and recipes change. This one on Mobberly is the real deal. Father in law is there watching his son in law pass on the tradition.

Thanks for that info!! I'll have to check out that Bodacious and Longview is a little closer! I started going to Stanley's around 2012 and was just random then when I dated a girl in Tyler I ate there a LOT lol!! I think the breakfast burritos were my fav thing about that place.

It's not what I would call a nice restaurant, but Mamma's Cafe is he best place in town. I haven't eaten a lot in Tyler, but I went to Mama's Cafe and it was great for Breakfast.
