I did the opposite of what everyone says and I put every piece of tackle in my front middle box. Life jackets, bouys aND stuff are in the back. That was the only way I could get a fast hole shot.

The boat came with a 24P Tempest prop, and he gave me a new 25P Tempest Plus to go with it. But I have been thinking about changing to a 25-26P Fury. I have been told by Steve's propeller shop that the Fury props are for light weight boats and wouldn't work well on the Champion. Then C&O Marine told me that the Fury is more designed for heavier boats.... so im confused. Should I get the 24P worked, changed to the 25P tempest plus... or try a Fury? any input is appreciated. thanks.

I can help you with your boat bud. Weight distribution is critical on any boat. Bass boats are notorious for having giant storage boxes up front so we load them down with stuff. That kills your topend. Your boat should hit 70 pretty easily with you & partner.

The 24 sounds a little low for that rig. I run a 25 Fury on my Alpha 211 and it works great. You are welcome to try it but the Tempest may run better. Every prop runs differently out of the box. No two are alike, even the ones that are supposed to be identical.

Steve Glenn knows his stuff, I have never met Josh but heard good things. I saw Steve take one prop out of the box new and measure the pitch on the blades. Two of the blades were 25" and one was 27 inch! That one was probably made on a Monday or a Friday! LOL

He has helped me with props on two Bullets that would both run over 100. Holler at me next week and we can grab some lunch.

Ken

I'd love to try (buy) a Bravo 25 if you if you get one and it doesn't work for you.

I have an89 20' champ. I know its different style but I get 64 with 25 tempest on a 200 merc I got from Steve. He let me try a couple props out before I bought so it would be right. Seems like you should get more speed out of yours.
