Whoever doesn't want their piece of carp Shimano, I'd be interested in the higher end carp.

I can't speak for the other models but the Concept A is finicky when it comes to backlashing for me. You really have to watch the way you cast or it will ball up on you in a hurry. Other than this it's a great reel.

I'm really a Lews guy so if someone has a lefty they want to trade for around the same value (170 a 180 new) and condition let me know. I've had it a year and condition off the top of my head would be 8 to 9 out of 10. It's not been used much at all. It was mostly on my 8 - 10 XD setup.

I have three of the lower end, pretty sure its the inception you are looking at. I bought 3 from tacklewarehouse, 20% off.

They don't do much for me. Although they are smooth and appear to have good drag. I will stay with LEWs and BPS.

The model I have work good for casting, they cast good but I tried to pitch with one and didn't like it. I played with the settings but seems you have to get the spool moving really fast for before the brakes kick in not matter where they are set. I may not have played with the settings enough, but I don't have time in tournament practice much less a tournament to fool with a reel.

I put all three of them back in the rod box.

The do look cool on Fishing 13 rods!!!

The higher end ones are probably better but the Lews and BPS with the dual cast control seem to be what I like the best and thats what I will stick with.

Thanks, Billy

I have a concept C and A, these concepts are unbeatable. As for the inception im not a fan at all. My father just got a lews custom pro slp, compared to the concept c the lews slp was highly inferior, he returned it. The concept a is great for the price but the c is hands down my go to. Been using my c for over a year, seen over 1500 hours still out cast the lews out of the box.

Not sure abut te inception... I'm sure it is just as good as the rest of their stuff. I am a customer for life of 13 Fishing. I have 3 KP's, 1 E, 1 C and 1 A. I have them on Omen black and Envy Green rods. I have had two Envy's replaced under their OOPS warranty... never an issue. The reels are smooth, light an solid. I let a friend use my A for a few casts and he went and bought one the next day.

I have two of the concept c. I like them, but I wouldn't get rid of my shimano's.
