Just got back from spending the weekend on Caddo. The main river up above government ditch was fairly stained but not terrible. The river fished much better for me than the lower part of the lake, and the bigger fish seemed to be hanging out on deeper structure. Lots of smaller schooling bass early in the morning. Junebug worms and crankbaits were the ticket. Had lots of blow ups on the frog but they just seemed to be slapping at it and never caught any on topwater for that matter, which was surprising. The salvina is REALLY bad on the main lake... Or at least what used to be a lake. It just looks like a grassy field right now. Pretty sad!
My advice would be to turn off your phone as soon as you get there and just soak in the scenery as much as possible. It's an amazing place!
