There are a couple that hang out near the rear boat ramp at Lake Fairfield and usually come out around dusk. Some more scared the [censored] out of me last weekend flopping in the water right by the boat in another part of the lake. They were making so much racket playing I figured I otter move on to another spot...

yes to Fairfield. I have caught some really nice 5 and 6 pound bass with huge bite chunks missing from them. I caught a fish there once that wouldn't measure 18" because it's tail was bit off. It was easily 5 pounds and measured 17 1/2"'without its tail.

I've never seen a Nutria out of the water. There is a pond close by my house that has a big den on it and a couple that swim around at dusk. They make a huge splash to try and scare me. I once was fishing at night and looked down into the water with my head lamp on my head....saw the little face and glowing eyes looking up at me through the green water. That scared the [censored] out of me. Haha.

I've seen them at Sam Rayburn and Fork. Those are otters for sure.

Nutria are vegetarians.

The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

I've seen Otters at Welsh. One time saw two of them fighting over a dead bluegill. Pretty funny to watch.

We used to see them all the time at Cypress Springs. We always assumed they were Mink. They were solid black. Saw them pretty much every time we went out night fishing. Cool little critters
