They don't look grilled.

I think I am apparently confusing myself here. I just assume you had a bunch of different buns you were tasting.

The bologna looks tasty. That sausage looks better.

I hope you're not using all beef Bologna. The pork mix tastes better IMO.

Do you prefer sesame or poppy?

Poppy but sesame will also work.

I like poopy seeds, but I spend the rest of the day paranoid that they're in my Teefuses.

That's what's up!

Thick slices of Texas Toast, there's no top or bottom to worry about matching up. cheers

Get one of those toasters with the big roller in the butter and let it spit out perfectly toasted bread every time. food

Pretty sure some supply and economic factors are involved in this decision. Kings and such may drive the price up, where walk up Joe may not pay that much for a sandwich.... May be the best darn sandwich in the world but everything has limits.

Just give me a little tray of bite sized chunks and a toothpick. Maybe one piece of buttered white bread. I'm happy.

Texas Style!!

One piece on the bottom to soak up the juice and lay 2 on top of the meat.

I enjoy eating the meat without the bread.

The sausage is made right up in Ponder at Syracuse Sausage. It's primo sausage and priced accordingly. I'm not selling a cheap small sandwich. It'll be upwards of 1/2lb and around $9.50. I had some good bread today, but still not what I'm looking for. I know the bun I want to use, I just need to get a Ben E Keith account. They're about .75 each, where as normal buns are about .12-.15

Man, now I'm hungry. Spags , "oh Lawd I'm fat" thread made me feel fat. So I skipped lunch and took a power nap. Then Tman throws out all this food porn. My ol belly growling like big ol bear.
I need a BBQ bologna sammich with a slice of onion on buttered Texas toast, side of plain ol Lays tater chips, a pickle wedge and ZeigenBock Texas Amber Ale to wash it down.

Dang, high end que right dar!

Is that price sammich only?

Some places can get away with it....others can't. Stanley in Tyler gets away with it(their sausage is $4.99 or $5.99)...but it's the "atmosphere and hippie music" that bring in the crowds...IMO.

Having only eaten Que a couple times in Dallas...it is much higher priced. The last time I refused to pay....lol...so our host picked up the tab. It was that place in Lewisville.
