The state just needs to make it a felony for that officer to arrest you. You'll get a fine, he'll get 10 years in a state Prison.

Time for Texas to push back a little.

Why in the world would the federal government get to tell citizens in a state using Texas fishing licenses who can or can't carry weapons?

the same law that keeps us from carrying on COE property also inhibits the military, thanks to slick willy back in the 90's for passing this law that has killed many people already, look at Ft. Hood for instance, had the trained military folks had the opportunity to carry that would have turned out much different...hoping that if the Don gets in this can pass and get signed in, but for now obummer and his ilk like our military folks to be disarmed when his terrorist attack...just saying...

Federal Law and state law is odd how it is enforced.

Usually Federal Law trumps state laws, but there are some cases where Federal Law is not allowed to be enforced by the state.

How can we determine that?

Lewisville, Ray Roberts and Grapevine are the ones I would like to know if COE?

Check their websites. I believe all three are COE lakes, but I haven't confirmed that.

Texoma is also a COE lake. There are a bunch throughout Texas. Here is link to show which lakes are COE lakes.

Back to the original question: I would guess that the lake authority can ban weapons carry just like a business can ask you to leave if you are carrying. If in question, I would check with the county sheriff since he will be the one dispatched if you are caught and they call the law.
