My bad meant to say sparkplug wire. Runs different when cowling is installed. When a motor runs better cold, then performance falls off after warm up, indicates it is running too rich. Look down the throat of the carbs while running look for dripping fuel or fuel spitting out the front of the carb when you give it throttle.

Ok, sounds good, I'll give that a check. If it running rich then what would be the next step? Adjust the floats In the carbs? One thing I was thinking is it possible a power pack could be going out? Since it is an intermittent problem. I replaced the one on the port side last year.

Current Cylinder Index is 42.

Power pack. Evinrude is known for this when the pack is bad.
