Not zooming in it appears that there is a trail there but once zooming the small dots of the trail disappear. I have tried going into Nav settings and setting it to use a bold line.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated...headed to Fork for the next four days and would really like to it loaded properly.

You must not be fully familiar with your 1198. When you load tracks to the unit or Save Current Track, they are what the Default Saved Tracks setting is.
Factory Default is a faint grey dotted line. Unless you change the Default setting ahead of time, that is what the lanes will look like.

You have to Edit each lane/track to what you want them to be displayed as, then SAVE that edit each time.

If you do a Restore Defaults all the tracks will be set back to the faint grey dotted lines and you will have to re-edit them again.

Can someone post pictures of the boat lanes chip for Rayburn. When I viewed it, I thought it was pretty generic. I did not look very far north however.

Having the boat lanes downloaded is good , but let me describe GPS a little better . Commercial GPS systems are extremely inaccurate . At best , they are accurate to +- 3 meters , that's 9 feet of variance at any given reading . Add to that if you are taking a downloaded map from a commercial system ( Humminbird , Lowrance Garmin etc...) and then using on another commercial system to implement your coordinates , the variance goes up X 2 . Commercial systems don't use the same satellites that the Government systems use and they use less of them . If you are using a Government GPS system , the satellites are accurate to +- 1 centimeter . I did design work with a company in Silicon Valley called Trimble Navigation . They design GPS products that are using Government satellites and are accurate to less than a centimeter , in fact countries use Trimbles system to read variance in land movement in key area's for earthquakes and volcanoes .
I only say this to those of you "cutting it close " on those boat lanes and risking life and limb . Be careful .
tight lines ,
Robb

Got it figured out. Rather than change the appearance on the waypoints and route "general" tab, I was able to locate the "Forkboatlanes" track or waypoints. Once I found that I was able to setup a solid bold line and make it the color of my choosing. It will be in use in approximately 14 hours.

Thanks for the responses

Hey bobby, I had a guy email me the lane downloads but my computer won't open them. Is there some software I need to open them. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you,
