Gotta be in downtown Fort Worth tomorrow at 9am. Of course, I won't have my own vehicle so riding public transportation for the first time in my life.

I mind it for shutting down five businesses with no backup. Home office doesn't have anybody to spare and it's just going to create a cluster**** for me to clean up on Monday.

I got permanently excused from jury duty calls in Harrison County.
I got called once in Hunt County but never going through that again.
I had the stupid idea since I have nothing to occupy my time it would be a diversion to serve on a jury and the pocket change they pay would be a plus. I had to park 4 blocks away from the courthouse because every handicapped spot was filled.
By the time I made the trek I was exhausted---emphysema and arthritic joints don't help any. We sat on hard benches for a while in the lobby for and hour or so then went into the court room only to be dismissed because some deal was struck. If I ever get another notice I am just going to call in tell them can't make it.

Never have had the privilege to be called or serve on a jury. My wife has had to report 3 times and we had just moved when she got a 4th one. She hates to be called, but for some reason I never get those special invites.

Did you try signing up online in advance? Usually you don't have to g and that completes your jury service.
