I have two rods with micro guides on them. Both are cranking rods and I like the flex they have but I hate the micros.

Micros were just a fad who's time has come and pretty much gone. About the same can be said for split grips too.

Try micro waves or air waves it's the best of both worlds . Rod builders have been using them for years now and some of the larger Rod makers are using them now.

I may be in the minority, but I love my micro guides. FWIW, I fish from the bank and use yozuri hybrid and have never had any issues. I mostly like the way they look though.

The dude abides...
