I know that you released that blue, but do you eat others that you catch from Lake worth?

Awesome fish, congrats! smile

Re: 75lb blue record. I'm convinced there are larger there. The ban allowed the big fish to get bigger. wink

I'm not. That lake took a beating when they dredged it. The floods have reestablished the bait fish population but it isn't what it used to be and was almost non-existant for a couple of years. It never was a lake where you would catch a ton of fish, but it did have a good number of really big fish. Not so much any more....but please do enjoy the new multi-million dollar Casino Beach resort and entertainment district that your federal tax dollars paid for in the form of a grant to the city. The plans were absolutely fabulous and that shallow silted in lake just wouldn't do...the only problem...it wasn't built and never will be.

The Casino Beach redevelopment plan rates right up the 3 or 4 redevelopment plans for the east side of Lake Arlington.

Nice fish by the way! I sometimes get sidetracked by my rants on government waste.

This is PB for now but won't be long. Of course I'm talking about fresh water. I have a 12 ft hammerhead under my belt at age 16 off the Lake Worth Pier in Lake Worth,Florida. I'm ready to drug around in my 14 ft V-bottom these Blues are a blast.

Don't jinx yourself. Took my 3 years to break my last PB.

I had no idea they dredged the lake. But...there is still decent sized fish there because I have seen recent pics of some pigs. Granted....may not be 75lb+... bummer... but who knows in the future.
