I know some of you reached out to me when I said I was going to stop drinking. I am glad to announce that I have pretty much stopped altogether. I have had only 4 drinks since February for varying celebratory occasions. I didn't touch a drink for a month after I decided to stop and it wasn't that bad at all. I found out I wasn't really dependent on it nor did I have to have it to enjoy myself.

The worst part of it was just having a nice meal and not having a nice whiskey or a red wine to pair with it hence the 4 times I did have a drink. Those times, it was just one drink with my meal and I was able to stop it there.

All in all I feel a ton better, lost some weight and I don't act so stupid when out with the guys.

One of the downsides is that some of my friends are pretty boring and I don't like going out socially a ton more since I lost my most effective way of relaxing myself in crowds.

Thanks to those who reached out to me in support. I feel as though life has changed for me quite a bit for the better.

True that. Going out to eat is so much cheaper now. I am surprised how much I was spending when I went out.
