Did fishermans galley used to be Randows?? I haven't been in that part of the country in 20 years since I was in college in Natchitoches. Used to love the AUCE frog legs there on Friday nights!!

I don't know what it is but Country Boy in Many, LA is some good stuff! Might be the batter, might be the grease but it sure hits the spot for me.

If Big Mommas is closed they must have just closed. I ate there a couple weeks ago and it was very good. El Tio in Hemphill is awesome. Mexican restaurant on corner by Toledo Town pretty good. Hemphill BBQ is really good if they keep the flies out. Last time I was there had a [censored] load of flies in the place and i just done really care for that. Toledo Town has good burgers and other things. Fishermans Galley sucks in my opinion. Last two times I went there the fried food tasted like it was fried in old burnt cooking oil. They wont get me a third time. Fin and Feather has some good food but its a little hike down to Housen Bay.

No, Sir. It was not Randow's. Different place. Fisherman's Galley is right next to what used to be John Dean's little store that sold BBQ sandwiches years ago (I believe I am right on that). Randows was up the road a little ways toward Many. We loved Randow's as well and hate it closed several years ago. And could hear a little singing some weekend nights!
