[quote=cwright]The hole area has gone down hill due to low water and poor fishing. It's not his fault that he can't invest money into a Bizz that's will have little or no return. Instead of bashing just suggest another location that you have had a good experience.
I wouldn't go as far as gone down hill because of poor fishing. Adapt to conditions. Yes for a few years bad. I wouldn't say that today..

The marina/lodging business is just like any other cyclic business (farming, oil/gas) - you better be putting something back when the times are good or you can file bankruptcy. Of course you want to buy low and sell high. I am sure these Amistad and Falcon properties were selling at a high point a few years back. The same cycle is currently happening on Toledo Bend.

Hopefully Velvick is still running it trying to pay back his creditors, who knows. Bankruptcy has always been the result of a failed business and many come out smelling like a rose. Look at Donald Trump.

Look at Donald Trump. Let's see. Trump controls over 500 companies and he has had 4 of them File Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Sounds like he has done quite well. Over 99% success rate. Just because he filed bankruptcy, does not mean he did not lose money with those ventures.

Say what you want about Trump but the dude knows how to make money and he knows how to get people to vote for him. I'm gonna vote for him because Billary Clinton is the worse thing that could happen to this country. Oh look at me, got plum off the subject. Sorry 'bout that.
