Good bait and colors and readily available at Academy and some walmarts, I caught a couple 7-8lbers on the gizzard shad color last summer.

After 1 hour of slaying them I didn't have a keitech bait with a tail (they we're still biting with no paddle tail) and only one jig head left. That left me out $15 for an hours worth of fishing. I under stand we all pay to play, but are there more affordable options out there? I am now addicted to swim baits and am afraid of the cost!

If you do switch baits, consider the attributes of the keitech's. There are many different swimbait styles and actions, so finding a swimbait that is soft, scented, with a boot tail that creates a lot of action would be my first things to consider. Find the baits that match that description then go from there.

The most durable plastic there is out there is Elaztech. Zman is the only one off the top of my head that I know of that makes swimbaits with this material.

I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.
