Try the Power Pro slick..it has a little more body to the line than others and is not as bad about tip wrapping....comes through the guides a little faster too. I have some Bonehead braid on a couple of rods.

Mr Crappie is amazing..some tough stuff for 6 lb. line. It gets a memory pretty quick, but a couple of thumps and little line stretchin' solves that pretty quick.

Fluorocarbon for a leader only.

I have not used flouro at all, but I'm sure there are some uses for it. All my rods, except for dock shooters, have 20/6 braid on them...no leader material.

JP have used berkly flouro, few years, I can see it pretty good don't have a little trouble wrapping on tip, I don't think makes much difference on most n. tx lakes till you find clear water. LOL maybe some e tx lakes. hope that helps.

The only time I use flouro is when fishing for line shy fish in the creeks during the spring. White bass mostly. Like many being able to see you line either twitch or move to the side is crucial when fishing for crappie. Only watching your rod tip is a huge mistake. I can't tell you the amount of times I have walked up on bank fisherman and told them they need to set the hook because either their line is twitching or moving to the side. They never saw the bite because they were watching their rod tips. Using high-vis line is more important than flouro IMHO.
