I heard 350 for 20 and that's what I've been using to cure. The topic was brought up a while back and someone reached out to Pro-TEC or some mfg who recommended that temp. So I've used that ever since. My last batch of pill heads came out great and I only used one coat and cured. I did dab on UV on one batch for a "second coat" to test and didn't notice much of a difference. But that was on round heads. But they appear just as hard of a top coat. I figure it'll wear off anyways after bouncing off a tree/brush/pillar or whatever. So I only do one coat.

Just try some at 5 minutes and see if you can tell the difference. Maybe if you took a brinell
or a Rockwell hardness tester you could tell. Try throwing them on the ground they won't scratch
or chip.

Every paint I use has a different cure schedule. So what I do is 25 minutes at 375. Only reason I do it that way is I never have just one color to cure.

If you have ever seen Streetwalker baits that he has powder coated you will listen to what he said. He has it down to a fine art now!

Have any of you ever read what temps and time the guys you buy your paint from say you should use? I suspect not since you seem to just use what ever you think works. Really? No place on here do I see what some of you guys are using to cure and if you not going to do it right why do it at all?

Here is the list I got from CSI a few years ago and up front I will tell you after trying the 10 minute thing they have here I went back to my 15 minutes ion the oven and I do know where I have to set my little toaster oven to really hit between 390 and 400 degrees which is what I use except if I am using Pearl and it's way different.

Curing @ higher temperatures increase possibility of excess paint running off, especially in multi-coat applications.

This sounds about right actually. The only thing I would tell you to watch for is Flame Red and if it gets a little darker and doesn't look very close to Orange, then the heat time is too long, but if it's bright and nice then it's fine. I know on using my 390 to 400 degrees I can not let it go longer than I have it set for or it will be very bad.

I have an older version of the CSI temps and time I will look and see what they said about that. I know they had it different before.

The 350 at 20 is right, my oven has been going crazy on me and I didn't know it. Those colors that some may have trouble with, try using the timer and don't open the door until they cool some. This is not a pro-tect way but comes the pro-tect guy. Just a little cool down will work on most colors.
