Sand bass are great fun for the kids. Lil buggers get old when trying to crappie fish at PK. One thing for sure, you never get a chance to get bored, as I'm always catching a few sandies even if nothing else is biting.

Todd you can be my "key" supplier! I made two of them. One is larger one is smaller. Will try the small one next. Have family coming this weekend. May let the kids try them out.

Not bad Chris. Lol. Gotta brag about my two hubbard buddies, Frank and Bovee. They are two low-key guys who like to mon-key around in the lure lab (aka car garage) after work hours and they designed some really cool lures that catch fish! Guess the key to their success is not to get locked up with one lure??? Lol

Two very gifted anglers in my book. cheers

I remember the same thing years ago using a kitchen spoon.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Todd you are a good friend and too kind. My first fish ever I was five years old. My Dad set me up on a minnow and bobber on a cane pole. I sound like Huck Finn! It was a Doctor friend's stock pond. They went up to have a beer. They said bobber goes under lift the pole up. I'm sitting there and the bobber goes under and the pole goes flying! I dove in and grabbed it and ran backwards. First fish ever was a six pound black bass. I was hooked. Fishing is tranquility to me. Working in I.T. there is a ton of stress. Out there it melts away. We all experiment. Look at how many Thumpers you've birthed! I love to dabble. That's it.

It's better to keep a revolutionary bait like that one low key...posting these things on public forums enables too many anglers to key in on your technique.

Coach- Grab a Barbie Doll head for your daughter and weave some treble hooks into her hair. Wait never mind! She may have nightmares for years after that....

I am dying here laughing! I work a lot and haven't posted for awhile. I know now what I've been missing. I'm still chuckling about the one where you may have to use a Master Lock late summer! Man I needed some laughs. This has been too much fun.

My cousins and I caught them before using a piece of plastic from a plastic grocery bag, hook, and sinker. Guess you can say we had bags of fun that day.

My Dad used to say laughter is life's best medicine. I'm over dosing today!
