I think the goal is to make sure every boat catches a limit, so why not allow live bait. I don't think we are trying to test for skill, we are just trying to get rid of some sandies

Okay Folks,

I just hung up the phone with Mark Howard, tournament director for JC Outdoors. Mark is a great guy and puts on a great tournament. He has agreed to put the event on.

He is working on the rules of the tournament now and will post them shortly. He is also talking to Minnow Bucket for the host marina since they have a covered pavilion.

Here are some details:

Date: July 2, 2016

Time: 6:00 am to 11:00 am

Entry Fee: $70 per team

Guides Allowed to fish

Live bait Allowed

Ten Fish Stringer to be weighed BUT; Each team that brings in 50 fish will be given a ticket to enter into a drawing for a REALLY COOL Prize.

Prize money to be paid out as follows:

1st Place Heavy Stringer of 10 Fish - $1,000.00
2nd Place Stringer $750.00
3rd Place Stringer $500.00
4th Place Stringer $250.00

Biggest Sand Bass $250.00

There will also be a $250.00 Bass Pro Gift Card given to the Junior Division Winner for the Biggest Sand Bass. Must be 16 years old or less on tournament day to be eligible for the Junior Prize.

ALL fish Must be brought to weigh in in edible condition or they will not be considered for any prize money.

If this event does well there will be a follow up event in August.

Now that my friends is the result of thinking and planning. When great minds get together great things happen. Good job.
