I am doing the same thing right now on Amistad. I am working nearby and keeping my boat stored there. I take people from work with me on the weekends and most aren't as adapt at fishing as I am so I am trying to entertain them early with the "nursery fish."

However, I am searching for the 10's and 12's and what I call "fishing" not catching! I am only concerned with catching a 12 lb er and that is requiring alot of patience in my boat. Congrats!

I will be surprised if I ever catch a 12# fish, but thats what will keep me going now!

Jason Christie said it best when he was on Lake Fork last year, "It's just too hard to fish shallow, when you know what lives out deep". I still enjoy fishing the banks, and one my favorite things to do is throw a frog, but I can't get it out of my head, what he said.
