Nice! I can't catch anything over 4 out there! I have been going out to JP a lot more (it is my home lake) and wasn't having much luck with overs this year. Caught 5 overs in one week recently and one was my PB on this lake at 7.1lbs. I guess going out there 1-2 times a week is starting to pay off.

Believe it, we where graphing an area and saw some fish and she said why don't we fish here? I said what the heck, threw out a buoy and busted that 9 lbr on the very first cast. I've been hearing about it every since!

Thanks guys it was a beautiful fish, it really was, the best part was watching her swim off into the deep water. I've been trying like crazy the last 3 or 4 years (more seriously, than the rest of my life) to catch a DD. I've learned a lot from different people here on the forum like Ken, other guys that are on here but I don't know their names on here and some other guys that are old school and probably don't know the TFF exists. I caught a 9.7 in 2014 at Fork, this is the 2nd biggest one I've ever caught and I just know one of these days one will peg 10.0+ - one of these days!

I agree. I think as much as it sucked, having the lake off limits for a summer and most of the fall really helped the lake.

I haven't caught much more than 2 lbs out there in a long time. Caught two 9 lbers in one night but that's been a long time ago. Congrats on the fish.

Very nice fish. I too am after that DD that is waiting in Joe Pool. I know she is out there. I take my wife along most of the time also. She usually does better than me. I did catch one almost 5 lbs Monday. Congratulations on the big fish.
