Looking to buy a boat and store it on either Livingston or Conroe. Both lakes are a short commute from me so distance is not a problem. If you were to choose one lake to store said boat on which lake would you pick and why?

What is your primary use? Bass- Conroe Pleasure- toss up White bass- Livingston Crappie- toss up "Security" in your investment- Conroe Infrastructure and access to contractors- Conroe More peace and Quiet- Livingston On the north end of Conroe by Stowaway there is even a valet storage place if you are infrequent user.

I'd choose Livingston. But I chase bass, Livingston fishes better for me, and your close to Rayburn and Toledo.

Conroe is primarily bulkheaded and smaller. Lots of waves and chop, especially with the wind blowing. Lots of jet fleas and go fast boats during the warm months. I still go there but choose my battles when jumping cove to cove.

I fish Conroe but mostly week days because like curtisd said, it can an unpleasant weekend for fishermen. Fish Mon thru Friday mornings and you'll do fine. Our place is north of the 1097 bridge so we stay clear of the 105 area most days.

I also live on Lake Conroe and fish it regularly on my days off. Have you already found a storage? If not PM me and I will let you know who I use. probably the cheapest on the lake by far
