I have fished Toledo Bend while the Bassmasters where there and found that plenty of water left for me to fish with out bothering or being bothered by them or the floatilla.

There seems to be part of this story missing. Did nobody say anything? There is no way one of the Pro's can say anything to these idiots without it looking bad for him. But we can say whatever we want. If the Pro says something, he may escalate the situation with the idiot, and the situation get worse. But said from his peers, especially a crowd, they may back away. "Hey, give him a little more room", or " let him save those fish for tomorrow. They'll be there next weekend", may be enough if it comes from the crowd. Heckle an ump at a ball game too hard, and long, and the crowd will let you know you're out of line. We had a guy at an Aggie game that was expressing his opinion a little too loud, and too expressively. With some encouragement from the rest of the crowd, he decided to sit and enjoy the game like the rest of us (sit - yes he was on the alum. side).

Now, I've never 'followed' anyone, or been part of these crowds, so I may be all wet with my thoughts. But it seems to me that if enough said something to someone, they may realize what their doing, and move on.

Regarding bouncing tungsten off the side of the boat, well, in a BASS event or not, that's over the line for me. No doubt I'd make the highlight footage correcting the situation with the idiot, and likely get a night or two in the hoosegow for my actions....

KVD constantly directs traffic and asks folks to back up or give him some room, when necessary. On the water and in person. I've never heard him address spectators in a negative light publicly, on air. As you stated, no upside in that. And I agree, others in the procession should educate those who have no common decency or, just don't know better.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

I guess this is the bad part of "growing the sport", creating great fisheries and live tournament coverage. Makes me sick...

because those that usually feel the need to potlick can't find fish on their own

They have a limit on toledo but on the sabine they only have a limit if they are fishing the main river. Anything out of the main river and they follow LA state laws
