Caught a little one about 2.5" the other day. Caught it on a private lake, and we haven't stocked crappie in several years...I thought I had read where the stripe was a product of genetic crossing at the fisheries dept.but I guess the can spawn out naturally here as well.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

It happens both naturally in the wild with some hybrids and is done with hatchery breeding as well
