$99 falcon rods in Lewisville scanned $59 minus 25% equals $44.98!!

Any 7' light action Falcon Bucoos for $44.98?

Meant to add spinning rod.

I got the last 2 spinning in Lewisville, thet were $44.98 after discount was applied....they were both medium action Buccoos

Where are you getting the 25% from? Coupon?

no coupon needed, I think it goes through the 25th. Its additional 25% off clearance merchandise...... but the falcons weren't marked clearance, but they scanned at clearance price....then 25% off of that. They told me if it scanned a markdown price and ended in 8, like 59.98, it was clearance and they would take the 25% off of that price.

Just a heads up....the Academy on Forest Lane in Dallas WILL NOT HONOR the 25% off the lowest scanned price on these rods, they say the 25% is already included in the scanned price.... but the clearance sign clearly states 25% OFF THE LOWEST PRICE! They automatically took off the 25% manually at the Lewisville store, I always have problems at the Forest Lane store rant off..............

Ok, My local academy would not honor the 25% off any of the fishing stuff said it was already added into the sale price. Sucked too cause they had three Falcon bucooo spinning rods but I couldnt get them for $44.98 went all the way up to the store director started with the cashier she immediately balked at the additional 25%. $59 was as low as they would go and the ethos rods were $40 something up from $30 something thursday.

So I drove to the other academy 45 minutes away and picked up a ethos for $21 after the 25% was manually taking at the register by a very hot sales girl. She sorta question it but they were really busy so she just did it. While there I witness multi people carrying 5 and 6 rods at a time scanning them. Guess more people read these forums then I thought. Now I did buy a pair of braid scissors got them for $1.48 and it automatically took 25% off those so go figure.

But I did find out that my mother is friends with a female manager at academy so I may be able to get good deals in the future. Going try to use her to get me some deals on Braid anyway.

oh wow, I didn't know about the additional amount at some stores. I stopped by my closest location and saw some Ethos 7 H and 7'3 H marked down to 35. Also saw one Falcon M rod marked down. I need some line. So maybe I can find some ending in 8

Got 3 - 6'8" Ethos tonight in Wax. They were $60 marked down to $47 and an additional 25% off that brought it down to $35.

Funny how much time/money/gas we'll spend driving to different stores for a bargain. It's like we are all women with a purse full'a coupons.

I do love the Academy Ethos rods, almost as much as the handful of H20 reels I bought of varying names.

I can tell you that have a 7' 3" spinning in Killeen for $14. They also have falcon for $59.98 but they don't take an additional 25% off to make it $45 because they verified with me that it's on clearance for $80 and the 25% off is what makes it the $60.

So between the ethos, Duckett, shimano,
and falcon.... there quite a few discounts there.

No deals in McKinney!

Today is the day they change all their prices so go back and rescan the rods hopefully someone will get a great deal. Im going to hit my local academy tomorrow.

My brother wanted me to pick him up a spinning combo. Found a clearance Shimano Catana 2500 and shimano 7'M rod combo at academy reg $79.99 got it for $26 and change. That reel alone goes for $49.99. NO reviews any where on it though so I hope it is ok.
