Oh I understand, but how you going to prove that the other boat was too close ? I think it would be silly to try and protest something like that.

I would challenge anybody to get next to Roger and have a friendly chat while fishing a tournament. bolt

I can assure you most do not read nor do they understand the rules. It is like the 25 yd rule. It says no fishing with in 25 yds of another angler.

While most people think that their boat can be with in 25 yds, but the boat is not fishing the lure is. Therefore IMO it should be no lure with in 25 yds of another angler.

Most TD wont address this if asked.

We all have rules to go by and some people try bending the rules to their advantage anyway they can. IMO

You are the only one I have heard interpret the distance rule that way.

I'm guessing that you could do as Mark said and take a pic, then write a protest.
This is somewhat situational since I've fished tourneys with boats crammed in and all fishing the same area. When a boat moved forward, you moved forward. There were no complaints due to that was just how you fished that area.
I have a bigger problem with Richard Cranium coming in and cutting me off 25 yards in front of me and not even acknowledging we are there. I've had this happen multiple times this year in the HS format.

Fix the problem. Stop all tournaments. Make fishing fun.

My opinion is that there is no difference between reporting a rule violation and protesting. I view reporting rule violations as a participant requirement or obligation to the tournament organization and to the tournament director to aid them in maintaining the integrity of the event and circuit/series.

There appears to be two methods (or more) on how various tournament organizations handle reporting:
1) Require participants to report. Example: BASS
2) No requirement for participants to report rule violations. Require participants to pay a deposit/fee to report/protest. Example: TXTT

Between these two methods, one clearly encourages reporting and the other not.

I agree, the XFL I just fished sunday I think they polygraphed the first 4 teams

Yes it can. I'm no saint but I do play by the rules on anything I'm doing. Have taken 2 poly's in my life and failed them both. Here is the kicker. I failed the first so they retested. They asked the exact same questions and I intentionally lied and answered questions exact opposite of my first. Guess what? failed again. Needless to say I have no faith in them at all.

A good liar and cheater can beat a polygraph all day. As long as they think they are not lying, and believe that, the test will show a "pass".

TTT does a random poly on people cashing checks. I know because me and my parter were selected to take one. We finished 9th last weekend. At least they told us it was random.. Maybe we looked shady. Lol.

Hmm well I'm glad they do that. I've only taken 3 in my life, passed them all but without polygraphs, TD's have really no other way to keep guys honest.

Rattle traps can help enforce that 25 yard rule if the other guy is an azzz.
It also works well on those jet skiers that insist on buzzing you when your fishing

You're really gonna throw a trap to hit a guy or you just talking smack? My vote is the latter.

You know he is, goofballs have been talking about silly stuff like this on here for years, have not heard of a single person hit yet, either they are full of it or can't cast.
