There has been a lot of fibbing going on about lake Athens being a good lake lately. The lake is small and smelly. Little to no grass, flat banks cover pretty much 95% of the lake, dink central. A good day out there is about like fishing white rock lake from the bank. I would not waste my time if I were y'all. Just giving you a heads up before you make that long torturous drive to Athens. Probably should just go to fork! If you can't catch bass at White Rock you might try another hobby. +1000 I got a pic of a 6lber I can show you I caught from the bank a few weekends ago. Caught about a 4.5 a few casts later as well. lol

Sorry for upsetting the white rock locals. Had no idea how great the fishery actually was. I guess I should have walked down the bank a little further than I did the one time I was out there walking my dogs.
