Kinda thinking this stuff may actually be worth more than the money they are asking...thanks Old Champ.... Saw some of the other stuff...kinda/sorta liked some of it(until I saw the price)...got some of the Columbia stuff for the kids a while back and they hate to wear it?, but it does work in a school type environment...not sure it will stand up to my needs. I rely on waxed cotton when hunting in extreme conditions...Mr Filson makes some serious weather stuff....little much for fishing though...

I was looking around for some rain gear and came across O2 rain gear for bike riders. It's light weight, water proof, breathable, wind proof, and packable with a generous fit for around $50 each piece. I don't fish in the rain that much but if I get caught in the rain while fishing I would like to have some protection. I can't say about durability but is sound like it would fit my needs and the price right. I'll check out a pair next week at a local bike shop and get back you guys. www.o2rainwear.com

I have a set of Frog Togg Toad Skinz (not the regular togs) and they work great. I also have a set of reg frog toggs that stay on the boat most of the time just in case. The Toad Skinz are a more conventional type of rain gear than the normal frog toggs are, not as breathable, better for cooler temps. The main reason I keep the regular toggs on my boat, is for people who show up to go fishing and don't dress appropriately for the weather. The ones I have, have been worn multiple times as windbreakers, but I don't think they've ever been rained on.
The Toad Skins, however, have kept me dry multiple times in some pretty nasty weather. I would by them again in a heartbeat before spending 3-5 times as much on the stuff BPS and Cabelas sell. Not saying that stuff ain't worth it, just that I manage to stay dry at a fraction of the cost.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
