Power Pro Super Slick I will never use another braid other than Super Slick. Period! I always hated casting into the wind and having the line dig into my spool, causing a backlash. With the Super Slick, I never have to worry about that because of the coating and roundness of the line itself. This line will not dig into your spool! I can't believe how far I can cast a frog now with this line! It's incredible. Another thing I noticed with this line is how strong this line is. I use the 15 pound on my spinning reel and it holds it's strength like a 30 or 40 pound braid. This line is definitely a game changer! As far as a rod, I use a 7'3", Heavy, G. Loomis rod.

Suffix 832....
Powerpro original if I'm in a pinch and the slick has zero abrasion resistance IMO.

I use 65lb.power pro on a Loomis 844 IMX. I'm gonna try the Super Slick next time I respool.

Super slick power pro has been doing great for me this year. I was never huge fan of the suffix but i need to re spool a reel and i think im going to give it another try. 735 dobyns or a 765 dobyns depending on cover

I like Sufix 832 and the new PP super slick equally 65#
I use my old Loomis 854 IMX. 7 footer
I'm with Ken on the line. I use a Dobyns Savvy 736. I too like the relatively shorter rods as I hold the rod tip down while walking the frog. Ken and I are over 6' and I think the 7'-7'3" are just right for that height of a person in my opinion. The longer rods may help if you're fishing places where a longer cast is needed and they help to take up line on the hook set but for me the extra length just makes it harder to work the frog. If you're short like Ronnie Kelly you may have to go with a 5'6" rod. I never knew Ken A. was over 6ft tall. LOL
