Yea been in midland when they got four inches of rain looked like it rained a foot

I don't know what happened to this one but caught a good number of them this year on the big river in the boat.

With the 4wt you know it's not a sandbass in about two seconds lol

Are stripes just about all over in lakes , creeks and rivers now ? I prefer black bass LG and SM mouth .

Yea they are in transition so could be any where. I'm with you on preferring bass but I do love the run!

Have y'all tried below the kingsland slab this year? I've got into them a few times in March really good but the last rise washed in a lot of holes.

I havnt personally but every river I been on has been a whole new place. Sad some of them it comes back quick but got rid of years worth of trash at others.

oddly that bugger has been killer here of late! It was on fire today for sure. Mateo hit them good this morning. My two days working all day killing me. Hope Sunday is good.

The fly of the day for me yesterday was an olive wooly bugger with a brass bead. My buddy was using a white bugger and wee each did shoulder burning well but the olive pattern seemed to catch the bigger females for some reason. After about a hundred fish in two hours, I just felt guilty.
