I have a couple dozen Falcons, some I've owned for 25 years.
I've had one break.
Since the rod is new either the store or Falcon will replace it.

Ive only broken one rod while fishing and it wasn't a Falcon, but it was purchased at Academy. I took it in the store (no receipt) and swapped it out for a new one, no hassle. Good Luck, Coach

Never taken a rod back to academy with a receipt. Only time you need a receipt is if you want cash back. Take it in. Show them and tell them you want another rod. If they don't have it, you will get a store gift card This has always been my experience as well but I picked up another rod there yesterday and was told to make sure I kept my receipt as that's the only way a return/exchange would be possible. I asked if policy changed and they said it has always been that way they are just going to enforce it now. We shall see!

Yeah I'll call Academy in the morning. I would like to get a replacement before Saturday.
Thanks Why you buying those cheap rods Danny??  LOL Ken, I took a reccomendation for one of the yahoos on here!  I think I know the guy you are referring to. He is a Yahoo of the First Order!!

Had an Eakins Cara CC-5-1610 snap swinging a 2# fish into the boat about 5 years ago called Falcon and even though they replaced the rod , with me paying all shipping, the guy I talked to gave me krap saying that these rods aren't made for swinging a fish into the boat. Haven't bought a Falcon since but still fish about a dozen.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

That's a great rod. I've had one for years and caught lots of fish on it. Academy should take care of you.

I just sent a broke rod to Falcon and they replaced it. It did cost me 20 dollars to them and 8 to ship it. So it cost $28 to get it replaced. I would take it back to Academy.

Academy will take anything back EXCEPT a gun or ammo. I used to work there. I've taken ammo back before.

Took the rod back to Academy yesterday and they replaced it, no questions asked. The trip to the store did cost me $250 though. It's amazing how much stuff you "need" when you get in a tackle store.

Snapped a tip on Lizard Dragger last year. My fault and contacted Falcon. Sent rod back to them and they replaced it with another LD II for half price. Thought that was a great deal. Glad Academy hooked you up. Ours quit carrying the Cara's.
