I have now gone full circle with the MLF format. At first I did not like the format nor the show. Then I did but after watching the last 20+ hours of the shows this year I am mostly done with MLF going forward. I have lost interest in seeing 12-15 inch fish being targeted and who ever catches the most of them being the "winner".

I am not saying that anyone else should not watch the show as there are lots of people that really like it but I am burned out on the format. I would rather watch 18 hours of Bass Live in a weigh your best 5 format.

I'm with ya. I think they need to do catch, weigh, release, CULL UP, and beat 5 wins it.

Leave the show alone.

2 minute penalty for using the word "grind" or any variation of this word. I like the show a lot and just cringe thinking about them monkeying with the format. It is head and shoulder above any of the other fishing shows.

I'll always be a five fish limit guy but you have to give it to these guys that can put together a pattern and put fish in the boat. I remember a trip with a buddy from work where he only caught five fish and they were all around 3lbs. I caught 30+ with my biggest just under 3lbs. He would've beat me in a tournament but he thought I out fished him by a long shot. Thing I like is these guys can fish in a five fish limit or MLF format.

I think all fishing shows should have a penalty for saying "It's a giant (or a big one) as soon as they set the hook only to land a 1 1/2-2 lb. bass. That gets old to me. As for MLF, I say leave it alone and let'em fish.

How many people have been saying KVD has lost it. I guess not. I really like the MLF format. These guys can flat out find fish and catch em.

I enjoy the format and it seems they do too. The winner has to match a predetermined weight, right? No one says you can't catch all five pounders and above to get there.

Personally, I like seeing those guys go out and get 100 bites, establish a pattern and throw them back quickly to get another. It can be fast and furious. I love catching bug fish, but I really enjoy catching numbers.

Its a dink fest. Catching 50 2 lb.'s is a lot more interesting than watching the top guys in the sport do it on TV. A 5 fish format would force these guys to get off the gravy and get after the meat.

I like it. Plenty of other tournaments with 5 limit. Like seeing them cope with a lake and no practice. I'd rather go out and catch 40 or 50 fish than just 5 5lbers.
