There is no off limits period for Crappie Fest. Only fish caught during tournament hours are legal to be weighed in.
Participants may starting fishing (line in the water) anywhere on the lake at 7:00am, April 2, and must stop fishing (line
out of the water) at 1:00pm. All Participants must be in the weigh-in line by 2:00pm.
A Legal Crappie is any crappie that is alive when entering the weigh-in line, is caught by the Participant from a
Permitted Fishing Area during the Tournament Hours, does not have any weight enhancements, was caught in a legal
manner, and is legal to be kept by the Participant under applicable state law.

Really slow bite yesterday, really good bite with a bunch of unders last night. Going to be an interesting tourny Good to hear I wasn't the only one who struggled on Saturday. That was the worst crappie fishing day I've ever had on Fork. Once I figured out where they were I still couldn't make'em bite. After 8 hours of futility I said screw it and went catfishing.

Don't feel bad Lane Craig said he found a few. Not a bad fish for a male.  Oh yeah, he caught near the dam 42 feet off the bottom! Ha.

Good luck all. Most of all be safe, be careful. Hate to miss it this year but to many irons in the fire with getting things done at the ranch for the new house.

Where is a good inexpensive play to stay? I would prefer something on the lake if they're not all booked. I'm planning on coming up Wednesday night by myself.
