I need to buy a new set of trailer tires and I'm not sure I want Marathons again. I have a 203 Champ with dual axles. What tires do you run and are you happy with them? Mine are 205/75/14.

Maxxis built for trailering with very strong side walls Maxxis is very good and I've run them on some heavy duty applications. I think the best bang for the buck for boat trailer tires is Towmaster. I'm on my 3rd set and have had zero issues.

Be sure to mention that you tow your boat fast. Trailer tires are not always speed rated. I pull my small RV at 70 or 75. When I mentioned that, the tires came off and we put a different set on that were rated for 70 mph.

Southwest wheel sells a bias 6 ply for 52.00 a piece. Best price I have found anywhere.

I just went through this last month. I went with the Maxxis. The Kumho 857 radial tires that are D rated are about an inch taller than the Marathons and Maxxis. I did not chance it on having the extra clearing under the fenders.

several folks on here including myself have had good luck with the triangle brand from cowser tire in ft worth. around $60 each tire.

Thomason tire in McKiney has recommended Triangle brand. They say they have had very good luck with them. $308 for a set of 4.
