I had a issue with BPS last week on pricing as well I had check online and found they had XPS line on sale went to store and brought 4 rolls and weigh bag and she charges me full price I had to question the cost of the line it was normally 22 bucks on sale for 15 bucks. So she looked it up and had to call someone to see if they could give it to me at that rate. They did good deal but when I got home I got on line to check cost of weigh bag it was on sale also for 14.97 but got charged 23.99 I was already home when I found that issue which is more than a hour away. Word to the wise always print cost out you see on line to check store prices.

I bought some Seaguar line from them that was "bootleg" stuff..I SWEAR! The one thing that Seaguar is known for in "level wind technology". This stuff wasn't. It was a regular 200yrd spool of 15lb. Red label. It was in a brand new box, didn't say made in Japan. Box was closed on the ends so you couldn't see the spool.
And it was $15!!! Lol.

If it was more than $15 spent, and the store was closer, I'd have gone back....but, as it was, it just wasn't worth it.

That was the last time I have ever wasted gas going there.

Calling out the cashier at BPS like she has anything to do with the prices on the shelves? LOL.

I usually buy filters online, and a case at a time.

It's not just BPS

I went to West Marine yesterday to buy hydraulic fluid and a helm pump filler hose...

the hydraulic fluid was $5/quart more than Amazon and the filler hose was $18 more than Amazon I think.

I still bought it for some reason even though I could've had it from Amazon today with free shipping. I guess I thought I really needed it last night

The BPS online business and physical store front businesses are ran entirely separate. The sales online are not reflected in the store, and the sales in the store are not reflected online.

However, they will always price match the sales on the BPS website in the store. They just need a few minutes to check the website and verify.

BPS will also price match any local brick and mortar business as long as it is the exact same item.

My boat dealer actually has pretty competitive pricing on accessories. I guess 2 bass pros, 1 cabelas, one of the biggest nitro dealers in the US, and 3-4 other dealers around might force them to be. That said, I'd probably still get stuff there if it was more just because its nice getting questions answered by someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

Tungsten weights were listed as 4.97 online on the BPS website......7.29 in store......they price matched 8 packs for me........;)

That being said.....Still seems to me like they are slowly getting rid of anything in store that isn't their brand......

BPS is for browsing, Brannans Bass Shop is for buying, or online, always cheaper somewhere and ships to your door

He should've ripped the cashier a new one for charging so much. That dumb girl over charged him and she knew it too.

Negatory on the ripping. Computer locked price. I took it back for a refund after ordering it on Amazon. She asked me why. I told her I'd found it $45 cheaper on Amazon. She said she tells them all the time that they're too high but the boss says that their labor costs are high.

I did discover however that OReily's can get outboard parts, at least to some extent. And the guy there told me he would've have beaten Amazon's price.

Well someone needs to be ripped here! I'm going down to albertsons to cuss out one of their cashiers over this right now.
